What Kenyans Abroad Ask Us First

Three worries, answered plainly

Buying land from thousands of kilometres away takes trust. These are the questions we hear on almost every first call — and how we deal with each one.

Worry 01

“Is the land real, and is the title clean?”

Before you send a shilling, we share the title and survey map so you, your advocate or a relative can run an official search at the Ministry of Lands. We would rather you check than take our word for it. Every plot comes with its own individual title.

  • Search it yourself
  • Individual titles
  • Beaconed plots
Worry 02

“Will my money be safe, and will the price change?”

The price we quote includes survey, beacons, transfer and legal fees — nothing is added at the end. You pay into a company account that we confirm with you in writing, your receipt downloads instantly the moment your payment goes through, and you get a signed agreement for every payment. Never pay into an account you have not verified with us directly.

  • All-inclusive price
  • Written agreement
  • Instant receipt download
Worry 03

“How do I manage all this from here?”

You do not need to fly home. We walk the plot with you on a live video call, send documents by email, and you sign at a Kenyan embassy near you or through someone you trust here with a power of attorney. Our online office is open 24 hours on WhatsApp, email and phone, so you can reach us whatever your time zone.

Why Buy in Kenya Now

The city is coming to the land. Get there first.

Nairobi keeps growing outward. Families priced out of the city are moving to the metropolitan edges, and new roads are opening up areas that were hard to reach only a few years ago. Land near those roads is where homes, shops and services follow next.

For Kenyans abroad, that creates a practical window: secure a titled plot at today's price, while your earnings stretch further, and decide later whether to build, rent out or hold it for your children.

  • A home for your return — build now, or have the plot ready for when you come back.
  • Income while you are away — rental units on a plot near a growing town.
  • Something to pass on — land your children can inherit, registered in your name.

Buying

Can I buy land in Kenya while living abroad?
Yes. Every step — viewing, checking the title, signing and paying — can be done from outside Kenya. Many buyers never set foot on the plot until the title is in their name.
How do I check the land is genuine if I'm not in Kenya?
We send you the title and survey map so you, your advocate or a relative can run an official search at the Ministry of Lands before you pay. We also walk you round the plot on a live video call, and anyone you trust in Kenya is welcome to visit in person.
Can I buy jointly with my spouse, a sibling or a chama?
Yes, a plot can be registered in joint names. Tell us at the start who the buyers are, and the agreement and transfer documents are prepared accordingly.

Paying

How do I pay from abroad?
By international bank transfer or M-Pesa. Our team confirms the account details to you in writing before you pay, and your receipt downloads automatically the instant your payment is made. Never pay into an account you have not verified with us directly.
Why are prices shown in dollars and shillings?
Our prices are set in Kenya shillings. The dollar figures are a guide at about KSh 130 to the dollar, so the exact amount you send depends on the rate on the day you pay.
Are there extra costs after the price?
No. Survey, beacons, transfer and legal fees are already included in the price we quote.

Owning

How long until the title deed is in my name?
Within four weeks of your final payment. Your representative in Kenya can collect it, or we can arrange to get it to you.
How do I sign the documents?
You can sign at a Kenyan embassy or high commission near you, or appoint someone you trust in Kenya through a power of attorney to sign on your behalf.
Can I build straight away?
Yes, once the title is in your name. Hillside Estate is a buy-and-build estate, with water and electricity already on site and neighbours who have already built.
